AdSense testing at WebGrrrl.net: ah, scrap it

I remembered now why I removed AdSense almost entirely out of this site — doing so actually increased my earnings! I truly forgot that WebGrrrl.net is getting smart priced all this while, and when you have one site that’s being smart priced, the rest of the sites that are using your AdSense account can also be affected. You can read more about smart pricing at Griz’s money making site [link to defunct site removed].

I mentioned how unfocused WebGrrrl.net’s content is, which is the main reason why my blog isn’t earning as much. In February I noticed that I was earning in the single digits (and in cents, moreover) per day at first. The more AdSense ads I removed from WebGrrrl.net however, the more I started to earn in the double digits through my arts and crafts site. Since I’m earning in the dollars, I’m not about to ruin my earnings now.

So goodbye again, AdSense. Well, not entirely. I’ll still have it in my games posts, and I would have removed them entirely by now if those darn pages didn’t have such high click-through rates of almost 15%.

Spread the love

I’ll reveal it once I earn more than $10 a day on that, most probably in 6 months’ time only 🙂

  4. I see the trend that, if the blogger become more professional than the chance that they are leaving adsense is getting bigger.

  5. I guess you can concentrate on a particular theme/topic for a while before diverting to different areas. Adsense works best with sticking on a niche area – which will contribute to your targeted audience.

  7. I better go read that smart prizing article as I think that is what I’m seeing on my sites as well. I didn’t know that Google would do that. You might have increase my earnings… thanks.

  8. Now I’ve read the article three times and also spent some time trying to find other articles on the same topic. There is not much around the net on it and it seems like it is more a test and track game to find a solution if you’ve been hit with smart pricing.

So I’ll be testing over the following months.
