To-do list for 2013

I have tons of stuff planned out since the end of last year, and they’re mostly having to do with WordPress development. However, I had to deal with my office’s ISO certification preparation (I call them “tree-killer” activities due to the amount of physical paperwork I’m forced to deal with). The continuous firefighting due to the endless hacking attempts on my website had me exhausted to the point that I didn’t feel like blogging that much. My exasperating attempt at blogging with my tablet also slows down my blogging activity.

That was last year.

This year, I’ve decided that I am renewing my resolve to put my WordPress World Domination ™ plans into fruition.

Top Commentators Widget

I’m adding better styling support for TCW. Also, I’m looking into making it WPMU compatible. I’ve put some thought into the gaming option, where you can display different award icons based on different levels of comment quantity, but I worry that it’ll clutter the widget setting form even more.

Accessibility Widget

I really need to work on those JavaScript codes to make it work better. I’m hoping to make it work just like the Joomla plugin.

Rubber price widget

This WP plugin is specifically for the Sabah Rubber Industry Board website I’m maintaining. Currently, they’re just all in HTML using a text widget, which is not only a hassle for my non-coding colleague to use, but it also doesn’t have the capability to archive older rubber price. I’m going to make it more user-friendly soon.

WPFork (formerly DiffPress)

This is a huge project of mine that involves customizing the WordPress installation files on the fly, by enabling you to select plugins and themes to go along with it, on top of changing the default settings. I need to learn the GitHub API to see how I can link this app to GitHub. WPFork uses WordPress as the framework; I thought I shouldn’t re-invent the wheel since I’m already very familiar with the WP hooks.

I’m relying on my microtasking-fu to help me accomplish this, and hoping that a certain family member of mine doesn’t bother me with his software development works.
