Thoughts going into 2021

This is the first time in a while that I truly get to blog in the actual start of a New Year. I’m so glad I get to do this.

Several years ago, not long after I became single again, I set a particular mindset for the first day of both New Year’s Day and Chinese (Lunar) New Year. I believe that whatever energy I set during the first day of the new year will roll along for the rest of the year.

For instance, I do productive and positive things during the New Year’s Day, even if it’s as simple as waking up early, having a clean and healthy breakfast, and spend most time working and cleaning the house. Those actions brings about an energy, which helps me set the mood or how I will go through the year. I will almost always guarantee myself a year of healthy, action-oriented lifestyle with lots of opportunities at each corner if I put effort on it.

Likewise, I relax and chill at home and spend more time on myself during the first day of a new year. The energy it brings me subsequently will be most time spent with family and self-care.

I couple this with my 3C’s: create, concentrate, and complete, to make my efforts more realistic and achievable.

2021 will be a busy year

How do I know? Because I deem it so. Hah.

One of the activities I’m doing today is to work from hotel, just because. Hopefully the energy this brings will be of a busy, productive, more rewarding professional life. Seriously, as much as I enjoy working full-time, the hours was a drag. Now that I’m back on my own and I have more control of my time and energy, I can refocus towards activities that mean more to my soul.

2020 was brutal, but it was a blessing in disguise for me personally. I’m always grateful, and today particularly, I’m extra thankful that I’m back to being content and ready for bigger things ahead.

I hope your New Year’s Day starts off the way you intended, and may those positive vibes carry you along in 2021.

Spread the love
