Wedding memories
Whenever I see sites like the Wedding Museum, I get this instant flashback to my own wedding website, which is still up and running like I left it since it was developed in 2000. Since I’m very much into web development, I used the site not only to show off announce my wedding plans, but also as a place for people whom I invited to the wedding to participate in the pre- and post- wedding arrangements. I had in the site everything there was to know about myself and soon-to-be-hubby, including stories about how we met, our engagement ceremony (even tidbits about how it was done within our tradition), and the wedding story itself. I was proud of the site due to the fact that I was able to put many stuff in. Some of my favourite sections in the site include the Multimedia section, where I added in scanned photos of our studio photos and actual wedding day and reception pictures, the prayer booklet (both cover and content), menu list, a collection of favourite wedding songs complete with lyrics and MIDI files, and best of all video clips of both my wedding and reception which I created and edited myself using Windows Movie Maker.
It’s good to know that nowadays there are services like the Wedding Museum that provide not only a one-stop center for recommended shopping, planning tips and useful wedding tools, but also provide anyone who is interested with a free web site full of features that enable you to share your own wedding experiences easily to your family and friends and everyone else online.
