Marc Andreessen and I have something in common

The in-1995-it-used-to-be-awesome Mosaic web browser. Image courtesy of Pawprint.net (http://www.pawprint.net/glossary/?action=term&gtid=63)You remember Marc Andreessen, one of the papas of the first graphical Web browser, Mosaic (which eventually grew to become Netscape Navigator)? Well, I was reading through the posts in his blog, then skimmed through his navigation section on the right, when I saw something familiar? Is it really what I think it is? Why yes, it is — right at the bottom of his navigation, under his Guilty Pleasures section, is a link to one of my top 3 online haunts of all time, The Superficial! Who knew he’d be one to enjoy tongue-and-cheek, sarcastically naughty out-takes on Hollywood gossips :D

By the way, did you know that Andreessen starting blogging only five weeks ago?! When the San Jose Mercury newspaper interviewed him in 2003 and asked him if he has a blog, he said, “No, I have a day job. I don’t have the time or ego need.” Aherm. Well, at least he realize now what blogging is really all about. And if you don’t know what it’s really all about, it is because of, simply put, the four-letter word. And it starts with L, you dink.

Back to my regular scheduled haunting.
