If you are climbing up the corporate ladder and are currently in a position to manage others, I cannot stress enough the importance of getting yourself involved with as much management training as you possibly can. The ability to manage the people you work with is one of the upmost importance to being a successful manager, and you will find yourself dealing more about people issues than work- and technical-related issues. I love attending trainings. I’ve been lucky that most of the trainings I received had been sponsored by the company I worked with during my years working full-time. My favourite type of management training is the workshop type where I get to practice what was being taught, so that I can better understand how to apply it in my daily work routine.
