The problem with WP Family Tree is that it is NOT a GEDCOM viewer. Their site says that are implementing GEDCOM support, but it doesn’t appear that it is a current feature.

I personally haven’t tried WP Family Tree. However, I’m sure if you send in your suggestions to the plugin developer, he/she might consider adding in the options you want.

On whether I’ll be picking up this project again, I frankly enjoyed researching and doing the initial build-up of this plugin, and I still have those details stored in my virtual archives, collecting virtual dust. Yup, I may decide, or I may not. We’ll see.

it’s too bad you decided to scrap this plug-in project. I’m trying to put together a family tree website/blog and your plans sounded like something I could have really used. =) WP Family Tree doesn’t quite cut it for me in its current version.

Here’s to hoping you’ll decide to pick up this project again in the future. =D
