Home extensions using garages

A Lidget garage.Too bad I’m now living in an apartment, because if I had a house of my own, I would definitely set up one or two of those concrete garages I see in Lidget Concrete Garages web site, like the picture on the left. Very often in Malaysian homes, you see open garage types, which I suppose is due to the small spaces around the houses. But I’m really into sectional garages as more of an option for me once I get a house of myself built.

A good thing about a sectional garage is that you have the flexibility of choosing a look that could be a little different from the home itself, or match it exactly to your house’s exterior decor, it’s all totally up to you. And most importantly, a sectional garage can be easily converted into a space different from what you would want to do at your home. I would imagine myself getting at least two sectional garages, one for use as a storage area cum workshop, and another as a home office. A reason why I would use a sectional garage for a home office is so that there is a clear separation of work and home life and it’s also a good physical cue that you don’t want to get distracted with house work when you’re in an office environment.
